4 more yards....

We have four more yards of concrete to pour... Dale & crew are set for Friday morning... Come on dry weather.. We excavated underneath our deck and I built a retaining wall to get prepared for the new patio. Once the patio is poured I can install the electric.

This coming week is Independence Day!! Also it is the first Immanuel Lutheran Church / School retreat hosted by the Cundiffs.. Thank you to them for their generousity. So Vika got a new ballerina swimsuit for the pool while we are at the retreat.

The summer flu bug went through the Fridley house over the last 10 days.. Trips to the DR... ugh

Cabin fever was setting in.. so we did make a quck trip to the mall with the ladies of the family.

Fathers Day & More...

A great first Fathers Day for me! I now am the proud father of two beautiful children! God has definately blessed me..

Teh pictures above are of Vika in here two favorite things.. The top one is her putting on her swimsuit by herself getting ready to run through the sprinkler. The second one is her wearing her gymnastics outfit on a day when we didn't have gymnastics.. :-)

We got the patio dug and concrete people have come out to review the pour. All looks good..

The temps are super hot... Gotta love summer in MO!!

A first...

Our little princess... is a little under the weather.. She had a fever last night. Gave her some Motrin and we took turns staying with her through the night. Thankfully Amy does not have office hours today and was able to stay with her. No fever when she woke up this AM, but is already taking a nap :-) This is really her first time becing sick since Gotcha day.

Justin has baseball game #2 of summer league tomorrow.. Go Pirates!

What a great weekend!

Started the weekend with a magic show put on by Justin & some of his fellow YMCA camp attendees. His #1 fan...

Saturday was a great day also. I completed another FAA Checkride in the midst of thunder storms in the area. Justin had a baseball game. Later in the evening Dr Amy & I went for a quck drink at Wentzville's new winery. Nice to see everyone!!

Sunday it was work day at Gma's house.. I got the deck stained.. Dad would be happy. :-) Thought it turned out great. I rolled on the stain and then brushed it in; made sure it will last. Gma & Vika played on the swing.

14 Years Ago..

Amy & I were married. We started dating 20 years ago... Wow..

Talk about growing up together.. :-) Love you! It gets better every year!


I thought I would post up some pics that we took over the last week or so.. Been crazy busy ..


Amy went to Denver, so the 3 of us spent some time with Aunt Mel & the girls. Grandma Fridley came and hung with us which was GREAT.

We made it to chruch this past Sunday.. 8am Service even.

Vika realized finally that we have a sprinkler system.

The water is a bit cold, until you get used to it. :-)

The real truth as to how I survived with both kids while Amy was in Denver.

Sat down today and clicked backwards through our blog...

Wow. I feel so blessed... Even with the hardships that we have had... it really makes me feel like a huge undertaking is complete. Not to say that another journey has begun, but I feel great.

Anyway.. Dr Amy is headed to Denver this weekend for DR meetings. Travel safe mama!!

Justin started base ball again last night.. Great coach!! He brought out a T and made the boys hit off the T.

Vika is doing great!! She started gymnastics on Thursday night.. LOVED IT!! Amy said it was funny. She tried to explain there was a bit of a language barrier... but I guess it worked out well. :-)

Vika got to attend the 2cnd grade ILS party at the Mrs. Buffy's house... Thanks!!! She has a great time.. The pic posted is of my 3 lil ladies (Caroline, Vika & Brookie) Love them.. they are super big nieces to Vika. Tonight we are going to cheer on Caroline & Lucy along with the other girls at a softball game..

What a great Memorial Weekend!

Got tons completed around the house!! Even went down to mom's and got her house all power washed..

Friday evening Justin & I went flying. Shot a couple of approaches into various airports and then landed on the grass runway 33 back at 3SQ..

Saturday Vika got to do Tae Kwon Doe with Justin's class.. She loved it! Master Blevins gave her a uniform. Wouldn't take it off. Keep Master Blevins in your prayers & thoughts... he is having surgery this week.

Sunday was work around the house but then we went to Boschertown and drove Go-karts.. Super fun! After go-karts we went to DQ for a quick dinner.. Vika doesn't really like ice cream; or at least not yet.
