Christmas 2011

Wow... that was different..

Due to some rescheduling of vacations,,, we spent Christmas at home this year.. it was strange ... But, it all worked out well. Very low key... mom came up and spent the day with us..

Vika got the lions from Disney's Lion King... They travel everywhere with her...

On Christmas Eve the girls went to the Fox to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast... She loved it..

What a great weekend..

Where to begin.. I completed the flying portion for my commercial pilots exam on Saturday morning.. So I am now a commercial pilot.. :-)

Went to see TSO - TransSiberian Orchestra Sat night with Justin.. Love those guys... reminds me of seeing a Motley Crue concert.. The girls went shopping..

Sunday we worked at Amy's office.. She is getting a new digital x-ray machine. Lots of prep work required..

Celebrated Justin's birthday.. He got the new Iphone 4S... loved it..

Our baby lost her first tooth... Had to explain the entire tooth fairy thing.. btw... the tooth fairy leaves $5 now days... I thought it was .25 cents... hmmm

Grandpa Fridley would have ok'd the $5 though..

62 and rain..

Crazy warm here in STL for mid-December. Cheer was canceled because the new gym is not finished. We didn't get the memo... Oh well.. we had our big umbrella to make things better.

What a crazy full moon weekend..

Well where to begin...

Was supposed to be in Beaver Creek CO.. skiing... Woke up Friday morning surprised the kids and headed off to the airport. Made super time, got on the little jet and was ready to push back... The door opened... that was all she wrote. The ramp agent came back on and made the announcement that ice fog had settle in on Denver.. We waited for an hour and then they canceled that flight. After another canceled flight and a couple trips to the ticket counter... we scrapped the hole weekend and headed home.

BTW... we did try to get to Orlando instead.. even with our ski bibs packed; but could not get there until late that evening..

So instead we planned a Sat of events for the kids... Vika went to Santa Claus camp at ILS .. Loved it..

We took Justin to the city musuem in downtown STL..

Crazy busy week ahead...

Vika switched her dance class to Monday nights and is doing outstanding... Love Mrs Julie!

Justin had his football banquet on Sunday at Luther High... He recieved an award for 6th grade player..

Black Friday...

Had a great Thanksgiving... rode 4wheelers at moms and then went with Amy shopping. BTW.. I have been banned from shopping with her on Black Friday... ugh..

Walmart was open but the sales started at 10pm... complete chaos..

We then went next door to Target... which did not open til midnight... the line was nutz..

Got tons done around mom's and our house.. Kids have sniffles... staying home from school this AM...

Rainy the last couple days in STL.. Kids are off school today. Justin is baby sitting Vika today.. Hope to make it to lunch.. :-)

Windy weekend!!!

Where to begin...

It was windy all weekend!! Wow.. Had a little frost but nothing terribly cold yet, thank God.

Justin has been asked to take his black belt test this Spring... seems like it crazy to think about this Spring, but basically he has to train from now til then on the test. :-)

Vika had a good week. Friday she was a a little sluggish, so Amy kept her with her all day to make sure she wasn't coming down with anything. Luckily no illnesses arose.. Thank God for good health.

Saturday morning, I had my Commercial checkride.. Got the ground or oral portion completed with flying colors. Had to postpone the flying portion for another day. Way to windy, the wind shear was crazy; which would have made ground referenece manuvers unpleasent.

Saturday night, Amy and I, went out withour friends... Great time as usual.

Short week ahead with the holiday. Kids only have two days of school. Amy is open 3 days, and I might work 2 1/2 .. we will see.

Looking back 2 year ago... we had just saw our baby girl for the first time... I can't imagine life without my family of four.

Out with the old,, in with the new... Traded off my Excursion.. Amy got a new car.. ML350...

Friday.. Vika had to get a cavity filled.. Amy said that ,, Vika, momma, the hygentist and the denstist all needed a nap after that... poor baby.. For the record I did not go. Amy did not want me caving in to my princesses crying... :-)

Sat night had date night with my beautiful wife... Went to the bar at the casino.. Band was ok,, but the company was awesome...

Preschool is rough stuff...

Vika is grwoing like a weed... that with the good weather and the high stress life of preschool, she comes home exhausted. :-) Last night headed to the grocery store for a midweek run and she was out cold...

I get the strangest looks from people.. Like what did you do to tha child? LOL

Football season is over and basketball doesn't start til Feb for Justin... Yeah... We just do our old staple of Tae Kwon Doe for now...

Both Hwy D & DD have had a 2' shoulder installed and are getting a new overlay... the roads are excellent out by us...

Happy Halloween...

Had a super weekend... Cards won the series, went to a Halloween party with Doug & Kerri... worked in the basement... church, did Gma Fridley's leaves... busy busy busy :-)

Had my last offical requirement for my Commercial pilots liscense.. 2 hour night flight.. headed out to Booneville MO... This was at 5000 MSL over Fulton MO...

Both kids just got over a bug,,, all healthy now..

Spent the past weekend at Walt Disney World for its 40th anniv... Great time.. stayted at Aninal Kingdom Lodge... Had a super time at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party...

22 years..

This past week.... marked Amy & my 22 anniversary together... She asked me out 22 years ago... Im a lucky guy!

Friday night Dr Amy and her mini-me played dress up... Actually Amy is secretly making sure all of the pirate costumes fit for the upcoming Disney trip... :-)

Sat night Ally.. came back from college for the night.. That allowed Dr. Amy & myself to go out...

Had a great evening with friends Doug & Kerri at Bottle Neck Blues Bar...

Sat.. morning... Justin & I flew out to Manhattan KS... they actually have commuter service from American Airlines.. This is J standing in front of one of the 5 that leave out of there everyday. Chicago or Dallas are the only choices...

Wet weekend in STL...

Dr. Amy was in KC for Dr meetings all weekend with her staff...

So it was me and the kids all weekend..

Saturday morning Vika & I attended Kelsey's Bday party...



Sat afternoon Justin had a game against the 8th grade JR Vikings...

We played awesome..
Sunday.. made the 8am service.. Vika spotted her most favorite teacher... Mrs. Fletcher..

Today is Grandma Fridley's birthday!.

Justin had his first football game as a JR Cougar... The feeder team for the the Lutheran High Cougars...They won 26-6.. He is starting weak side linebacker.. #64

Vika had her first dance class on Fri... She loved it...

Went to the Luther High game Fri night... they lost to St. Dominic..

I flew on Sun morning... Beautiful morining after the fog lifted...

Friday night,,, the girls had a PJ party.. Vika & momma.. Justin & I went to Capt. America.

Saturday was a day at the ariport.. Justin practiced football with Zac.

Sunday was church and Monday we went out and had a family shopping day..

Friday night Justin went to the Movies with a friend.

I worked at Amy's office getting some new computers up and online.

Saturday Amy & I had a date night... was great... found a new bar in south county called Mile 277 it was great... stayed there til close almost. Listening to Johny Rockit and the Double Wide Symphony.. :-) Vika found her moma's shoes from Sat night and wore them... too well...

Sunday ushered at church then worked around the house..

What a busy weekend..

Busy weekend... Started Fri night at the Lutheran High School football jamboree.. Justin play for the JR football program. Feeder team for the high school.

Yes.. Vika likes the cheerleaders.. Won't be long and she will be out there.. ugh..


First day of preschool... Vika is a Fletcher's Frog again... Loves it... They love her too..

Got to fly 3.2 hours this weekend.. Loved it..

Pretty normal Sat,, Amy did kick boxing, Justin did Tae Kwon Doe & Vika tried out her new umbrella... :-)

Worked in the basement on Sat.. Hung drywall.. getting close to tileing the bathroom.

Went to moms on Sat for a bit..

Justin & I saw cowboys and aliens.. it was ok...

Football has begun..

Justin has started playing for the Lutheran High School Cougars feeder team...

Work weekend...

Took half day off Fri to play golf with Justin's golf camp. :-) Had a blast... Good ol' dad can still hit the ball strraight.

Moved to a new hanger at the airport... it has a great view of the runway and pretty sunsets.

Thursday night we went to the Meadows shoppingr center for their concert series. Phins Band a Jimmy Buffet tribute band.

Vika is getting reading glasses... So they stopped and tried on a few pair.
